About the People Operations Coordinator Position

This is a great position to learn the full employee experience function from onboarding, employee record management, performance reviews, process improvement, HRIS maintenance, and off-boarding. The HR Coordinator role at Verndale (called People Operations Coordinator internally) is a valued member of the team who will deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee journey. 

Responsibilities
  • Day to day: Be the first point of contact for all employees answering a wide variety of questions within the HR wheelhouse (ie. benefits, policies, etc.)
  • Conduct all employment verifications and internal certificate requests
  • Be the owner of all employee data hygiene including regular audits
  • Administer and track employee performance reviews
  • Responsible for benefit administration including adds, terms, audits, and Open Enrollment
  • Manage time off inquires, process, policies and communication
  • Responsible for global employee records; administration, tracking & compliance
  • Execute Onboarding & Offboarding operations
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law
  • Document and maintain all HR policies and communicate across the organization
  • Partner with leaders in the organization on the execution of employee experience programs
Qualifications
  • A self-starter with a genuine passion for people
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in both Spanish and English
  • High attention to detail and strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or 1 - 3 years of experience working in the Human Resources field 
  • At least one year of experience in Labor Relations and Compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Ecuadorian & US employment law is a plus
  • Some experience working with HR Information Systems
  • Previous experience working remotely and comfortable collaborating within a hybrid work environment
  • HR Certifications a plus
